Board of Directors
Gina House - President
Known by most people as "G," she grew up in Laurel, Mississippi. She is a Baylor University graduate with a degree in Education, and has spent much of her adult life traveling overseas serving with various cultures in community work and mission. Gina is the Director of Development for Lifehouse Houston. She has over 25 years experience in the non-profit arena: specifically fundraising, donor, and community relations. She is excited to join The Quispicanchi Project team and use her gifts and talents for this incredible work. She enjoys being with people and using hospitality in hosting others.
Chris Clark – President Elect and Legal Counsel
Christopher Clark is a Corporate Attorney at Adelman Matz, P.C., an entertainment law firm in New York City. He hails from Sulphur Springs, Texas, and is a graduate of both Baylor University and the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Christopher loves to spend his time playing as much golf as possible and taking care of fresh tomatoes from his garden.
Ghipsel Cibrian
Sharing the mission to accompany the people of Quispicanchi, Ghipsel Cibrian is thrilled to join the Quispicanchi Project as a Board member. After graduating from Georgetown University, Ghipsel continued her Jesuit formation as a Jesuit Volunteer Corps member in Quispicanchi, Peru. Through her service Ghipsel fell in love with education and the local community, she currently supports a network of Catholic schools in the South Bronx and Harlem. She is a tender hearted and resilient Latina in the pursuit of baking the best Concha (sweet bun) recipe.
Sam Hay
Sam is a former Jesuit volunteer who served in Andahuaylillas in 2010-2012 and currently lives in Boston with his wife and young daughter. Having earned his Ph.D. in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology from Boston College, he works for Save the Children as an Advisor for School-aged Research, Evidence and Learning in their international programs office.
Matthew Miller
A native of Dallas, TX, and a graduate the Georgia Institute of Technology. Matthew is the Director of Business Development for LUX LED Lighting (an LED lighting manufacturer for the hospitality design industry). He also serves on the Semones YMCA board and co-chairs their annual fundraising campaign. He is also the chair-elect for the Y's board of directors. Matthew has been married to his wife of thirty years, Catherine, who was raised in the Middle East as a child of missionary parents. She now serves as a ministry consultant for the Episcopal Church. Matthew and Catherine have two beautiful young adult children. Their son Pryor is an Ensign on the Coast Guard Cutter Waesche, a national security cutter based in Alameda, Ca. Their daughter Caroline is a junior nursing major at the University of Tulsa.
Richard Perry
Rich is a graduate of Boston College with a focus on social justice and theological studies. He also holds a Masters in Education from Southern Methodist University. Currently he serves as the Director of the Community Service and Social Justice at Jesuit Dallas. Rich is passionate about creating and sustaining programs that offer students the opportunity to walk in solidarity with those experiencing marginalization, supporting initiatives that build friendships across cultures while working to remove social and linguistic barriers. With his background in special education and creative strategies for gifted learners, Rich guides students in discovering lifelong vocations of service and justice that build community and uphold human dignity. His diverse experiences, from animal rescue and HIV/AIDS outreach to supporting immigrant communities in Mexico, elder care, and homeless initiatives are rooted in advocacy through relationship.
Project Staff
Jonah Brunel, Director of In-Country Operations - Jonah was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from the University of Georgia in 2021 with degrees in Finance and Real Estate. Post college, he spent two years working for Wells Fargo Bank in their Commercial Real Estate Banking division in Atlanta, Georgia. He currently resides in the Quispicanchi region where he serves as the in-country contact and administers various Project programs. Jonah first visited the region in the Summer of 2016 and began as a volunteer with the Project in 2020.
Matthew Freeman, Encuentro Program Manager - Matthew is from Dallas, Texas and is currently an undergraduate student at Creighton University studying Spanish and Hispanic Studies. He first had the opportunity to visit the Quispicanchi Region in the summer of 2019 and returned in 2021 as our first Project Companion. During the fall of 2021, he spent the semester studying in the Dominican Republic through "Encuentro Dominicano," Creighton's service and language learning program abroad. He rejoined the Project in 2022 as the Encuentro Program Coordinator before serving as the Coordinator for Social Enterprises.
Colton Kvapil, Director of Social Enterprise - Originally from Crandall, Texas, holds a BBA in Entrepreneurship and Information Systems from Baylor University and a MEd. in STEM from Southern Methodist University. Colton's professional journey has been rooted in education, where he started as a high school math teacher at an alternative school district and later, spent ten years with the Teach For America team in DFW as a coach supporting teachers in local public schools, as an advocate expanding access to high-quality computer science education, and as a data analyst focusing on quantifying program impact and building program strategy. Currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Colton continues to merge his prior experiences and his hope for a more just world in current roles with Guild, an organization working to educate America’s workforce, and as the Director of Social Enterprise with The Quispicanchi Project.
Luke Przybylski, Finance Manager - Luke was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and attended the University of Oklahoma. He graduated with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, followed by an MBA specialized in Finance. He currently resides in Dallas where he works for Siemens Digital Industries in their Finance Operations division. Luke's first experiences in the Quispicanchi region came in the summer of 2017 on a school sponsored immersion trip to the region.
Dr. Michael Riemer, Executive Director - A graduate of Baylor University’s Hankhamer School of Business, Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as a Masters of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary. In 2018 he completed his doctoral studies in Leadership at Saint Louis University. Michael brings over 22 years of experience in nonprofit management, education, student formation, leader development, and programming to his work at the Quispicanchi Project. From 2018 – 2023 he served as the Coordinator for Service and Justice at Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, Texas, co-directing the largest high school justice formation program in a network of 62 Jesuit high schools in the United States. Dr. Riemer also serves as the Director of Community Activation for United to Learn, a Dallas, TX based educational non-profit where he oversees their volunteer mobilization efforts and leader formation programs.
Sean Rilley, Communications Manager - Sean Rilley holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Fordham University. Sean's passion for music and service led to internships in the music industry and public service during his time at Fordham, allowing him to professionally hone the promotion and communication skills he carries into his role with the Project. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Sean spent time in the Quispicanchi Region of Peru in the summer of 2015, and he is excited to be working with his friends again.
Kylie Corbin, Development Officer - Kylie holds a degree in Biochemistry from Spring Hill College and a Master's of Public Health degree from Baylor University. Kylie has worked at several non-profits where she has cultivated her knowledge about communications and impacting local communities. She partnered with the Quispicanchi Project during her MPH program where she implemented two health and hygiene initiatives in Sullumayo. These initiatives surrounded women's reproductive health and dental hygiene & hand washing initiatives in Sullumayo which aimed to educate school aged children on the importance of implementing healthy habits in their community. Currently, she works at the American Heart Association under the Health IT team where she works on the Get With The Guidelines registries to improve quality of care in heart disease and stroke care. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends. She also loves spending time with her and her husband's dogs- Griffey and Toast.
Jacob “JT” Ennen, Social Media Coordinator - JT is from McKinney, Texas and is currently an undergraduate student at Canisius University studying Marketing & Management. He first visited the Quispicanchi region in the summer of 2019 and returned with the Project in 2021 as part of the first team of Project Companions. That summer, he helped launch our efforts in finding and promoting locally-produced artisan products. In 2023, he rejoined the Project as the Social Media Coordinator and is excited to share our work with our communities.
Regional Advisors (QUISPICANCHI, CUSCO, PERU)
Dr. Fredy Challco Benavente - Dr. Fredy is an experienced dentist and health professional in the Quispicanchi region. He helps to run the local health clinic in Huaro and also manages his own dental practice. He spent numerous years as a professor of medicine in Argentina, before returning to the Quispicanchi region to work towards improving the health of the local population. He has a particular interest in caring for the most vulnerable and ensuring they can receive proper health care.
Alfredo Cutimbo - Alfredo is responsible for carrying out pastoral work for the parish in Andahuaylillas. Every afternoon, along with his son Ángel, he goes to the various communities surrounding Andahauylillas and hosts catechesis classes for children and adults. He also works as a tour guide in the Cusco region and is an expert of the rich culture and history of Peru and Quispicanchi.
Malu Mamani - Possesses a Bachelor of Administration with studies in project management. She collaborates with Saint Peter the Apostle parish in Andahuaylillas, assisting with the pastoral work. Currently working for Work 4 Progress, she is responsible for the project “Job Listings for Young People,” which seeks honorable employment for vulnerable, young adults.
Ana Melba Pinares - Ana Melba is a primary school teacher with a certification in extrajudicial conciliation and family conciliation. Currently, she works for the Wayra Association - a Jesuit social work in Quispicanchi - where she is the defender for the office of The Parish Defense of Children and Adolescents in the Andahuaylillas district. She is also the coordinator of the Adolescent Mother’s project. As a second language, she speaks Quechua, the indigenous language spoken by those living in the Peruvian Andes.
Luz Ramirez - An educator with over 42 years of professional experience in Quispicanchi, in 2022 Profe Luz was recognized by the Ministry of Education as a “Bicentennial Teacher.” She served as the Director of the CEBE Special Education Center, the “San Antonio School” from 2011 to 2023. She holds degrees from the University of Antonio Ruiz de Montoya (Lima), Cesar Vallejo University and National University San Antonio Abad (Cusco).
